Nani doesn’t think Modric deserved the Ballon d’Or

Luka Modric enjoyed a remarkable 2018, sealing it by being named as the Ballon d’Or winner, but Portuguese winger Nani doesn’t believe the midfielder was worthy of the honour.

Lionel Messi, Neymar and Nani’s ex-teammate Cristiano Ronaldo were, in his opinion, all more deserving of recognition.

“In his position he is one of the best,” Nani said in an interview with Record.

“The best players in the world are those who can unbalance a game and make a real difference to their clubs.

“That’s what happened with Ronaldo, who continues to break records at Juventus.”
