Nantes activate €5m option to buy Super Eagles winger

French Ligue 1 side have finally activated the €5m option to buy Nigerian international Moses Simon from Spanish side Levante.

The French side wants to sign the on-loan player until June 2024, after having the option to sign him on a permanent basis.

According to a report in ouest-france.fr, Simon has penned a four-year contract with the Canaries who have been impressed with his performance.

He has scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 30 matches for the club that he joined last summer.

“We soon realized that he would be a good choice. I didn’t know him at first, but his track records and qualities are great.

“From the moment there was an option to buy him, we had no doubts. The player himself also said that he wanted to stay. I don’t know the details, but I never doubted the purchase option,” Gourcuff told RMC
Sports,” revealed Nantes manager, Christian Gourcuff.

The 24-year-old joined Nantes on a one-year loan deal from Levante last summer.
