Super Eagles ace Victor Osimhen will rejoin his Napoli teammates tonight, whilst Dries Mertens continues with instrumental tests and could return to training with Napoli ‘in the coming days’.
Osimhen was rushed to the hospital and spent the night under observation in Bergamo but the club confirmed he will rejoin the group in Naples tonight.
Club officials are hoping to have a fit and good to go squad ahead of their Europa second leg clash against Granada. Napoli lost the first leg 2-0 and will be hoping to turn the table in the return leg.
The Partenopei updated the injury situation after the 4-2 defeat at the Gewiss Stadium and revealed Mertens, who returned from therapy in Belgium, could return to training this week.
“Mertens carried out the isokinetic test and personalised work on the pitch and in the gym,” the club wrote in a statement.
