defeat Iceland in their next game at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The Leicester City midfielder, who was in action for 90 minutes as the Super Eagles lost 2-0 to Croatia
in the first game, said the team has learnt from the defeat and now fully focused on the next game.

“It was very disappointing losing to Croatia because we all know the importance of the first game and
the fact that we lost this game, it was very painful.

“Apart from the fact that we conceded goal from set piece, from penalty, the game was okay. We tried
our best to manage the game. It was a very good game with lots of experience and with lots of
intensity, we really tried our best.

“For me, I think we can do better and if we give everything and do better in the next game, I think we
can achieve something out of the game.

“The fact that we are the one playing the game, we are also Nigeria and we are disappointed with the
result. I understand the fact that everyone is disappointed but we just tried to manage the situation
and move forward to the next game which is very important to us. Let just forget about what happened in
the opeining game.”
