The Super Eagles may have been defeated 1-0 by Czech Republic last Wednesday in an international friendly in Austria but some positive development from the game has been highlighted by the team’s media officer, Toyin Ibitoye.

Ibitoye who like other officials of the national team were not happy with loss said the return of Leicester City’s defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was quite heartwarming.
“You know Ndidi has not played any friendly  for the Eagles since he joined the  camp Uyo with the rest of his teammates.
” He got injured in the English Premier League and was at the process of recovery when preparations for the  World Cup started.
“Coach Gernot had to direct the Eagles’ medical crew to follow the rehabilitation programme Leicester doctors gave to Ndidi.
” So, everybody in camp is happy that Ndidi did not only play but also finished the match without any discomfort” Ibitoye said.
Indeed, the lanky midfielder has proved to be a crucial member of the Nigerian side after taking part in all the qualifiers as the coach Rohr led side booked a sixth World Cup ticket.
