New Town FC targets NPFL spot

New Town FC, a newly formed football club with its base in Alimosho and with her training ground located in Ojo area of Lagos will be aiming to compete in the Nigeria National League in the 2018/19 football league season and will hope to secure promotion to the elite league of Nigeria Football, the NPFL in two years time.
 The club Proprietor, Mr Bobo  says his aim is to be the best from Africa and based on his personal principles he believes that is very realistic which is the same vision he has passed on to everyone who is part of his team including the management, technical and playing staffs in the actualisation of the set target which is very realistic with the structure he is setting up.
”We want to be the best team from Africa in all ramifications, from our playing methodology and philosophy, to player’s conduct, players and official club unveiling and launching, to offering match Day experience for our fans, to players promotions and what have you. ‘We will be running this club like a proper business and we plan to serve as a model to how proper club football business should be and as it is run in advance clime and we have prepared for this long before now and we believe the time is right for us to launch ourselves to the Nigerian football industry” Bobo said.
The club had a trial exercise which commenced from December 13 where a number of players were given the opportunity to showcase their skills and what they can offer from where the first set of players will be selected into the team.
The club has lined up a long list of activities including it’s official club launch and press conference which will be held simultaneously with the players unveiling ceremony in a colourful ceremony.
The club is expected to also play a number of high profile friendlies with NPFL sides.
