Newcastle show interest in Genk Striker Tolu Arokodare

Newcastle United are reportedly monitoring KRC Genk forward Tolu Arokodare ahead of the summer transfer window.

Arokodare has attracted attention with his standout performances for the Belgian Pro League side this season.

The Nigerian striker has so far registered 20 goals and five assists in 38 appearances across all competitions for the Smurfs.

According to Africa Foot, Newcastle United have already opened communication with Genk regarding a potential deal for the prolific frontman.

Genk are expected to demand a transfer fee in the region of €17 million for Arokodare.

The 23-year-old was previously close to sealing a move to Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor during last summer’s transfer window.

Arokodare joined Genk from French Ligue 2 outfit Amiens SC in January 2023.
