Neymar dazzles with new look after four hours salon session
Neymar has revealed a dramatic new look on the back of Brazil’s disappointment at the Copa America this summer.
The 29-year-old emerged from a salon session lasting four hours with blond dreadlock-style plaits.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward has emerged as somewhat of a fashion icon over the course of his career to date.
And his latest fashion statement was made a reality by Nanda Burguesinha, who has transformed the hairstyle of many celebrities back in her native Brazil.
She is reported by The Sun as saying: ‘I asked him what he wanted and we came up with this different look which preserves his authenticity.
‘The procedure lasted four hours and went very smoothly.’
His latest hair-do has followed a series of other bold statements he has made with hairstyles and colours over the years.
Neymar showed off drastic new pink hair in February last year before PSG played against Montpellier.
The Brazilian was then forced to shave his head and sport a more traditional look after it started to fade.
When he first emerged on the scene for Santos and Brazil, he was often seen sporting a mohawk.
But his new hairstyle may provide him with some comfort after the heartache of losing the Copa America to close friend Lionel Messi’s Argentina.
The duo were seen embracing after the full-time whistle as Lionel Scaloni’s side celebrated their first Copa America victory since 1993, while Neymar left the Maracana in tears.
The Brazilian will be expected back in Paris over the next month ahead of the new Ligue 1 season, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men looking to reclaim the title from Lille and try and end their drought for a Champions League crown.

There will be plenty of fresh faces at the Parc des Princes to drive that bid too, with Achraf Hakimi, Sergio Ramos and Italy’s Euro 2020 final hero Gianluigi Donnarumma all having signed this summer.
And Spain international Ramos insisted this week a chat with his former rival was key in persuading him to leave Real Madrid for the French capital.
The French giants’ next priority appears to be tying Kylian Mbappe down to a new deal, with latest reports suggesting they are ready to pay the France striker the same salary as top earner and world record signing Neymar.
