Neymar is most valuable footballer in Europe

PSG star Neymar is the most valuable footballer in the world according to KPMG.

Financial experts KPMG have launched a new tool to estimate the values of Europe’s top footballers, with 26-year-old Neymar coming out on top at £206.5million.

Neymar’s PSG team-mate Kylian Mbappe, 20, is second on the list with an estimated value of £193.8m, while 31-year-old Barcelona legend Lionel Messi takes third place with a worth of £183.2m.

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is the priciest Premier League player, with his £151.6m value keeping him above Tottenham striker Harry Kane (£136.1m), Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard (£133.5m) and Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne (£116.6m).

Atletico Madrid’s French frontman Antoine Griezman (£113.2m), Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba (£107.5m) and Barca schemer Philippe Coutinho (£106.5m) complete the top 10.

Juventus ace Cristiano Ronaldo is outside of the top 10 on £96.5m, which is £8.5m more than what the Serie A side paid Real Madrid to sign him last summer.

Ronaldo will be 34 in early February which explains why the Portugal captain isn’t higher up the list.
