NFF: Eagles to face a big team in June

Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick has revealed that the Super Eagles will play a high profile friendly match in June and that the name of the team will be known this week after they have wrapped up negotiations.

The Eagles will be among the 24 countries that will battle for honours in Egypt from June to July and the NFF President disclosed that the senior national team will have the best of preparations for the AFCON with their sights on winning a fourth title in the North African land.

Pinnick waved off the insinuation that the Eagles played poorly against the Pirates of Seychelles and that they may not likely make any impact against the Pharaohs of Egypt.

“Come and watch the Eagles. They will be totally different against Egypt on Tuesday,” Pinnick told journalists.
“The Eagles have already qualified for the AFCON before the game and they were playing against a team that came to Nigeria to defend. They played with care. They have played Uganda already and the game with Egypt comes up on Tuesday.

” We will definitely put all the necessary arrangement in motion to ensure that the Eagles do well in Egypt. We are planning a big game for them in June. We are going to wrap it up next (this) week but we won’t reveal the opponents yet.
