NFF mum on Falcons robbery attack in Gambia

Almost 15 hours after thieves invaded the Mercy residence hotel camp of the Super Falcons of Nigeria in Banjul Gambia, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are yet to make an official statement.

The Falcons, who were in Gambia for the first leg of the 2018 Africa Women’s Championship, were robbed of valuable items during the ugly incident which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, according to the New Telegraph of Gambia

The report did not state if the players were attacked

The Falcons are due in Nigeria on Thursday after defeating the Female Scorpions of Gambia by a lone goal which was scored by home girl Amarachi Okoronkwo.   The return leg is scheduled for the Agege Stadium next Monday.

The winner of the encounter qualifies for the championship later in the year in Ghana.
