NFF targets 2022 FIFA World Cup trophy

The new executive board of the Nigeria Football Federation have included the 2022 FIFA world Cup trophy in their target for the next four years in office.

The newly elected officials  stated that they would be fulfilled to work assiduously that Nigeria does not only qualify for all major international football competitions between now and 2022, which also includes the 2022 FIFA World Cup scheduled for Qatar, but also lift  trophies.

According to Barrister Seyi Akinwummi who was re-elected into office as the  first NFF Vice President noted that Nigeria can trust the new board to put everything in place not only to qualify but win all major tournaments.

“As a member of the newly elected board to pilot the affairs of the federation i will be fulfilled if we win the World Cup in 2022 with some of the kids who have gone through our youth system.

“I will personally be fulfilled if players from other African countries are rushing to get work permit to play football in Nigeria Professional Football Leagues. I will be fulfilled if our female football finally comes of age to have full participation.

“We intend to do even better than the last four years ,we now have the experience of preparing for, and participating at the World Cup to help us,” he revealed.

The newly elected board members that will pilot the affairs of the glasshouse for the next four years is led by Amaju Pinnick who was re-elected for a second term.
