The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is expected to sign an improved deal with kit supplier, Nike before next month’s FIFA World Cup in Russia, SportingLife.ng reports.

“I must tell you that both parties that is the NFF and Nike are okay with the terms and hopefully the contract signing should take place before the team’s opening game against Croatia,” our source privy to the deal said.

The NFF have been kitted by Nike since April 2015 and almost lost the sponsorship deal due to a random design for the Super Eagles that went viral on social media early this year.

It took several pleas by the federation’s hierarchy to pacify Nike who threatened to sue.

Recalled that Nike replaced Adidas following the latter’s refusal to renew its contract with the federation in August 2014.

“There are other incentives included in the deal that l wouldn’t want to disclose. Let us wait until it becomes public. The present administration is working seriously to ensure every aspect of the game is taken care off not only the Super Eagles as being speculated,” continued our source.

Sportinglife.ng gathered that the 36 State Football Associations will also benefit.
