The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have come under attack for providing a bus not convenient for the
U-20 Women’s National Team for training ahead of the 2019 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in France in
August.

The 30 players and team officials, who have been in Abuja since last month, have been conveyed to the
National Stadium in a 14-seater bus that was donated to the NFF by former Ondo state governor, the late
Olusegun Agagu in 2007.

The sight of the girls entering the bus has attracted wide spread condemnation on social media, who
have called on the NFF to do the needful by getting the team a befitting bus.

“This is very shameful. Nigeria’s U-20 women national team players were forced to pack themselves in a
bus and lap themselves after a two-hour training in Abuja. The players are in camp in the FCT preparing
ahead of the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women World Cup in August in France, a comment posted on Facebook.

It will be recalled that two years ago the U-20 girls refused to leave their Serob Hotel in Abuja after
they returned from the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Papua New Guinea over unpaid allowances.

Nigeria are drawn in Group D along with Germany, Haiti and Chinam for the France tournament scheduled to kick off in August.

The Chris Danjuma-led side qualified for the tournament after thrashing South Africa 6-0 in the final
round at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City last year.
