NFF, Wolves Celebrate Ikeme At 32
The Nigeria Football Federation have conveyed birthday wishes to Super Eagles goalkeeper Carl Ikeme who
turned 32 on Friday. Newly promoted Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers also sent birthday wishes to
their keeper who is still recovering from acute leukemia.

your day and can’t wait to see you again soon,” tweeted Wanderers.

Ikeme who remains devastated that he will not be going to World Cup made his debut for the Eagles on September 5, 2015 in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and was in goal in three of the team’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
His hopes of representing Nigeria at the World Cup were dashed on July 6 2017 when he was diagnosed with acute leukaemia after returning abnormal blood tests during a routine pre-season check.up.
