#NGADRC,” a tweet from the official handle of the Super Eagles revealed.

The 24-year-old who has made 19 appearances for the Eagles since making his debut on June 13 in 2015,
tapped in the ball following a pass from Kelechi Iheanacho in the 18-yard box in the 14th minute. It will be his first goal for the senior team.

Meanwhile, Ekong has expressed his delight at getting his first goal for Nigeria.

“I am happy to score for Eagles and the way I celebrated the goal showed that I was extremely delighted
to nick it,” Ekong said. “Eagles will get better in the remaining matches. We are going to improve better than this.”

He is expected to be on duty on Saturday against England at Wembley after which he should make the final 23-man list for Nigeria ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
