Nigeria can host the world- Volleyball Chief

President Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) Dr. Amr Elwani has tipped Nigeria to host the world  by the year 2020 with the array of volleyball talents and the quality of administrators in the country.
The CAVB chieftain disclosed this during a courtesy visit to the Sports Minister Solomon Dalung in Abuja on Tuesday.
Elwani accompanied by the CAVB’s Executive Director Mrs Howdah Monday was ushered into the Minister’s office by the Nigeria Olympic Committee President Engineer Habu Gumel  and the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation Musa Nimrod.
Nimrod also used the opportunity to officially present the 2018 Boys U-19 African Nations Volleyball Championship won by Nigeria to the Minister. The Nigerian team will represent Africa in next year’s U-19 World Championship in Tunisia.

“I congratulate the Minister for supporting the Nigeria Volleyball Federation to achieve this feat. The Nigerian team will represent Africa in the world Championship next year which is a great achievement worthy of commendation. I thank the Minister for supporting the federation to do this.
” With what I have seen so far in this ongoing Africa U- 21 Championship in Abuja coupled with the the administration of the competition I believe in the next two years Nigeria can host the world tournament”, the CAVB President disclosed.
The Minister also thanked the African body for having faith in Nigeria and promised to always provide the enabling environment for volleyball and other sports to grow and excel in Africa and the world stage.
