Nigeria defender replaces Kalas as Chelsea’s long-serving player
Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo, has become Chelsea’s long-serving player following the capture of Tomas Kalas by Bristol City on Monday.
Omeruo takes over from Kalas who joined the Blues from Czech club Sigma Olomouc in July 2010 and featured only four times for the Europa League Champions.
The Nigerian who scored his first international against Guinea at the Africa Cup of Nations has been on Chelsea’s books since 2012 which he joined from Sunshine Stars in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Unfortunately, he has not made his official debut for the Stamford Bridge side as he has been sent on loan to five different clubs in Europe.
