Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Committee, Ahmed Fresh Yusuf made the pledge after the team defeated  Niger 2-1 in the semi final on Wednesday night.

Yusuf has already redeemed his promise of N1m to the boys for their semi final victory.

“Congratulations Golden Eaglets! I’m proud of the team. Superb win against the host country. The boys honoured me more by accepting the reward I promised before the game, I’m expecting them to grab the next reward with victory against Ghana,”” Yusuf tweeted.

Nigeria who last won the FIFA U-17 World Cup trophy in 2015 in Chile remain the most successful team in the cadet tournament with five trophies. They failed to qualify for the last edition having being knocked out in the qualifiers by Niger.

Ghana whom Nigeria face in the semi finals have been crowned world champions thrice.

Saturday’s final between the Golden Eaglets and Black Starlets will hold at Stade Général Seyni Kountché, Niamey, from 7pm.
