Nigeria pick Cadets Handball World Championship ticket 

The national under 20 male handball team has qualified for the Cadets Handball World Championship scheduled for next year in Spain.
The team qualified for the tournament after placing third in the just concluded Nations Cup and World Cup qualifier held in Morocco.

Egypt, Tunisia are the other two countries that would represent Africa in the next youths handball World Cup competition after taking first and second places in the qualifier.
Commenting on the Nigeria’s qualification after the tournament in Morocco, the leader of the country’s delegation, Alhaji Haruna Ilerika thanked Almighty Allah for the victory and commended the players and technical crew of the team for their determination to get the ticket.
Ilerika thanked the Federal government,the handball federation of Nigeria under the leadership of Mr. Samuel Ocheho for the support and encouragement given to the team during the tournament and hoped they would intensify efforts to make Nigeria proud during the world Cup.
In his message, the president handball federation of Nigeria, Mr. Samuel Ocheho commended the team and congratulated them on the victory and urged them to be focus on the challenges ahead of them in Spain.
In another development all handball teams that are partaking in this year’s Prudent Energy Handball League are expected to be in Lagos for the second phase of the league billed for  September 24 to November 5.
