Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has announced his squad for tonight’s friendly against Serbia, leaving out Leon Balogun who just failed a late fitness test SportingLife .ng can reveal.

 

Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr has announced his squad for tonight’s friendly against Serbia, leaving out Leon Balogun who just failed a late fitness test SportingLife .ng can reveal.

Nantes of France defender, Chidozie Awaziem has stepped into Balogun’s place.

“He is just out,”  revealed Super Eagles Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye, in a whatsapp message to SportingLife.ng

Awaziem last played for Nigeria against South Africa in an AFCON qualifier last year.

Rohr has adopted a 4-3-3 formation with three players including vice captain Ogenyi Onazi in the midfield.

CSKA Moscow attacker, Ahmed Musa starts in place of Odion Ighalo and also Ado Den Haag right back, Tyrone Ebuehi who is on for injured Shehu Abdullahi .

Deportivo La Coruna goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho retains his shirt ahead of Ikechukwu Ezenwa.
