Nigeria, South Africa: Experience will give us the day— Sanusi

Despite the qualification of the Super Falcons for the final of Africa Women’s Cup of Nations billed for Saturday in Accra, Ghana against Bayana Bayana of South Africa the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) General Secretary Sanusi Mohammed has described the performance of Nigeria girls in the semi final clash against the Lionesses of Cameroon as below average.

Sanusi while chatting with Sportinglfe.ng, said the entire team need to be overhauled and young players brought in for a better outing at next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup holding in France.

He expressed confidence that the Falcons will lift the trophy for the 9th time on Saturday aa the girls would not like to suffer a second defeat at the hands of South Africa having lost 0 – 1 in their group opener.

“I have confidence in our girls to carry the day. Though the Bayana Bayana are younger and fitter but experience will help our team to retain the trophy and I know the girls are ready to show their supremacy in Women’s football in Africa,” said Sanusi.
