Nigerian youngster completes Udinese switch

Nigerian youngster Destiny Udogie has joined Italian side Udinese on loan from Hellas Verona.

The defender secured the move on Thursday and he’s expected to remain at the club until the rest of the season.

The Nigerian descent defender broke into the first team of Verona in the 2020/2021 campaign, but managed to make just six appearances.

Born in Verona, the 18-year-old left-back started playing at Hellas Verona. After three years in the academy, he made his debut in a 2-2 draw against AC Milan.

Meanwhile, Udinese have obligation to make his loan move permanent at the end of the season.

The young defender has represented Italy at the U16, U17, U18, and 19 levels, but he’s still eligible to play for Nigeria.
