NNL Super 8: Niger Tornadoes on the brink of NPFL return

 

Niger Tornadoes have boosted their chances of returning to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) with a victory over El-Kanemi Warriors at the ongoing NNL Super Eight.

Tornadoes defeated El Kanemi Warriors 2-0 in their second group game played on Wednesday morning in Enugu.

Two late goals from Daniel Edeh (82′) Munir Idris (88′) handed the Ihkon Allah Boys the maximum three points.

The points moved the Bala Abubakar tutored side to the top of Group A with four points after drawing their first game of the playoff Tuesday.

Tornadoes now need just a point from their last game against Gombe United on Thursday to secure a return to the NPFL.
