Coach Gernot Rohr has boasted that no national team in the continent is blessed with the team spirit of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

He said it will work in the team’s favour during the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

“The solidarity among the various national teams is a major plus for the Super Eagles, there is no African country with this type of solidarity and this will come in handy during the AFCON,” The Eagles coach told reporters in Asaba.

The Eagles will round up the first phase of their AFCON campaign with a friendly against Zimbabwe on Saturday (today) in Asaba before departing for Egypt on Sunday.

25 players have been sweating it out since Monday in Asaba which will be trimmed to 23.

While in Egypt, they would play the Teranga Lions of Egypt on June 16 ahead of their group opener against Burundi on June 22 in Alexandria. Kick off time for today’s friendly is 6pm.
