No friendly for Eagles ahead Libya clash

Sportinglife.ng can reveal exclusively today that there will be no international friendly match to prepare the Super Eagles for the two-legged ties against Libya, first inside the Ahmadu Bello Stadium (ABS) in Kaduna on October 10 and on October 13 in the return tie slated for Algiers on October 13.

It was gathered further the absence of a friendly is because the period between September 17 and October 10, has no scheduled FIFA-free window for such international friendly games, forcing the Eagles players to use their club matches to be fit for the two games against Libya.

Sportinglife.ng scooped further that the NFF chieftains have already secured a chartered jet to convey the Eagles to Algiers on October 11, less than 24 hours after the first leg tie against Libya for the return leg in Algiers, although our reliable source at the Glasshosue refused to divulge the name of the airline that will convey the Nigerian contingent to Algiers.

Indeed, the list of players to prosecute the two-legged ties will be out on September 30, according to the team’s manager Gernot Rohr from his base in France, pointing out that he expects the foreign-based players to arrive in the camp latest October 3 to prepare for the October 10 clash in Kaduna, which he tagged a must-win encounter.
