No return date for injured Ndidi

Leicester City has provided an update on the fitness of Nigeria international, Wilfred Ndidi which Super Eagles’ head coach, Gernot Rohr won’t be happy with.

Ndidi who came off against Crystal Palace last Saturday with a hamstring strain has been ruled out of this weekend’s clash against West Ham at the King Power Stadium with the club silent on his return.

Speaking to the media on Friday, manager Claude Puel said the the club would have up to nine of their players missing this weekend.

“There’s an ankle problem with [Robert] Huth, [Shinji] Okazaki, [Kasper] Schmeichel, and [Ben] Chilwell in training.

“[Matty] James has had tendon surgery. It’s a hamstring strain for [Wilfred] Ndidi and [Daniel] Amartey and [Marc] Albrighton is suspended,” Puel said on the club’s official website.

On Ndidi, Puel could not say whether he would be fit for their last game of the season against Tottenham next Sunday or for the Super Eagles international friendly against Congo DR on May 28.
