The Chelsea manager never stopped believing in his young striker despite the critcisim since missing his penalty against Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup a fortnight ago.

And today Abraham, who has been searching for his maiden premier league goal silenced his critics when he opened scoring with just three minutes into the match.

Norwich however equalised 156 seconds later, Todd Cantwell finishing from close range from a Teemu Pukki cross.

Mason Mount added the second for the Blues’ midway through the first half with his second goal of the season, but Norwich levelled as Pukki slotted in from a tight angle for his fifth of the campaign.

Chelsea who were the better side were rewarded through Abraham’s second – an unstoppable drive past goalkeeper Tim Krul  in the 68th minute to the delight of Lampard.

The victory secures Chelsea’s unbeaten record against Norwuch in 16 meetings.
