NPFL: I’m back and better to lift Rangers this season, says Israel Aina

Rangers International F.C’s attacking sensation, Israel Abia, has stated in an exclusive chat that he is back in the domestic scene to make his contribution towards helping his parent club towards achieving its set target in the ongoing NPFL 2021/2022 season.

Abia who has resumed training with the coach Abdul Maikaba tutored side is optimistic of the ‘Flying Antelopes’ chances of ending the season on a high despite currently occupying the 4th spot on the 20 team log behind the likes of Rivers United, Plateau United, and Remo Stars.

The attacker who holds the record of netting four times in a league match and top scorer in the 2019-2020 season rejoined the Enugu side after finishing his loan deal with Saudi Arabian second division side, Al-Rawdhah where he scored fourteen goals in 16 appearances said that his optimism is drawn from the avalanche of youth spiced experienced talents available in the squad.

“My coming back to the team, Rangers, I believe will to a very large extent, help us to push for a good finish to the season. Remember that Rangers is a great team that has large followership and with the squad, we have now, I am optimistic that a continental ticket would not elude us,” said the fast-paced attacking sensation.

Abia’s expected inclusion in the squad will give opponents of the seven-time Nigeria league champions more cause for concern as he joins the likes of Elijah Ani, Ossy Martins, Christian Nnaji, Ikechukwu Eboko, Obiora Emeka, and Chinonso Eziekwe in the attacking line.
