Ogunbote to rotate players after securing Super Six ticket

Enugu Rangers head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote has re-affirmed that he will consider rotating his squad to ensure that some of his players are able to rest a little before the start of the playoffs.
The Flying Antelopes halted their three consecutive away losses with a slim 1-0 home win over Kwara United on Wednesday in Enugu and Ogunbote pointed out that his players were suffering from the effect of the
many matches they have played since the beginning of the season.
The former Sunshine Stars and Enyimba gaffer noted that with the reality on ground he must allow some of his players to have a little rest to ensure that the injuries they have won’t be piling up more.
“It is just the reality on ground and I must have to deal with it because there was a time we had over 20 injured players,” Ogunbote told SportingLife.
“I will seize any opportunity that I have to ensure that some of the players have some rest. We are doing everything possible to ensure that we qualify for the Super Six and as soon as we secure our ticket,
we have to allow some of the players to relax a little so that they will be fresh for the Super Six.

“We thank God that we were able to qualify for the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup which boosted our regaining our four slots in Africa. But this has come at great cost to my team.”
