However, the Nigerian has the second best time among the eight-man star-studded athletes listed for the women’s 100metre.

Okagbare equaled her season best of 10.90seconds alongside Cote d’Ivoire’s Murielle Houre who is also aiming for the jackpot.

In Oslo, Okagbare is aiming to equal the record of Ivorian Marie-Josée Talou, who is topping on the ranking with 10.85secs.

Meanwhile, IAAF hopes to use the Oslo Diamond League to take a look at three of the more memorable moments from Oslo’s Bislett Stadium.

According to IAAF, the 2017 starting line for the men’s 400m hurdles was 21-year-old Norwegian Karsten Warholm who displayed all the boundless energy and enthusiasm you’d expect of one so young, revving up the home crowd with a roar and bouncing around the track like a ping-pong ball.

But what happened next, no one expected. The former decathlete obliterated his rivals, including Olympic champion Kerron Clement, and broke his Norwegian record to win in 48.25. Disbelief was the overwhelming emotion afterwards, Warholm falling to his knees and eventually smiling through the grip of fatigue.
