Oluwaseun Wahab’s US debut fight postponed
Oluwaseun ‘The Machine’ Wahab’s much anticipated US debut clash against undefeated Abraham Nova has been postponed because the Nigerian will not be issued a visa in time.
A very upset Wahab told Sportinglife.ng that he would be missing his Super Featherweight fight with Puerto Rico-born Nova at Main Street Armory, Rochester on February 1 because his visa appointment was rescheduled due to the government shutdown crisis currently rocking the US at the moment.
The 28 year-old pleading with his disappointed fans added that a new fight date would be announced soon and thank them for their prayers, love and support.
He said: “I am pleading to all my fans, I know you guys will be disappointed about this. Due to the American Embassy shutdown delays, my fight with Abraham Nova has been postponed.
“New fight date coming soon. I will just focus on my training and I thank you all for your prayers, love and support.”
Wahab holds the World Boxing Federation (WBF) Intercontinental Super Featherweight title and is undefeated in 18 fights.
