Nigeria international, Kenneth Omeruo picked up a yellow card for Spanish side Leganes who fell 3-1 to Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday night at the Camp Nou.
Omeruo who has been very solid in the heart of defence was on for the entire game and was booked in the 30th minute of play following a tackle on Luiz Suarez.
Unfortunately his efforts could not stop the league leaders from finding the back of the net which started in the 32nd minute when Jordi Alba found Ousmane Dembele for the opening goal.
Leganes however responded through Martin Braithwaite 14 minutes later to give the visiting fans something to cheer about.
The celebration was however cut short when Luiz Suarez added the second and Lionel Messi getting the third to further compound Leganes misery on the night.
Once again. it was Alba who laid the pass for Messi who came off from the bench to score and extend Barca’s lead on the league table ahead of Atletico Madrid by five points.
Omeruo was featuring in his 13th match for the Spanish side who are currently 14th on the table from 20 matches.
