Omeruo wins Man of The Match award after scoring decisive goal
Leganes of Spain and Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo has won the Man of The Match in Wednesday’s Group B clash against Syli Nationale of Guinea at the Alexandria Stadium.
Omeruo’s nomination was not a surprise after scoring the only goal of the encounter that sealed Nigeria’s qualification to the Round of 16 with a game at hand against Madagascar on Sunday.
The central defender who was playing his second match for the Eagles in this competition broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute as he headed the ball into the opponent’s net following a Moses Simon cross.
