Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi has made the Turkish League Best XI after an impressive outing for his club, Trabzonspor with the end of the first stanza.
The 26-year-old, who successfully underwent surgery for a ruptured Achilles tendon on Monday in Istanbul, was named alongside former Real Madrid star Robinho and Yeni Melatyaspor and Guilherme.
Before now, Onazi had been voted the league’s best ball winning midfielder. Another plus for the player is that he has equaled his last season’s record of goals and assists, despite featuring in 16 league matches this season.
The latest recognition is a further boost for the player, who only few weeks back returned to full fitness level.
Onazi and fellow teammate and defender, Felip Novak are the only Trabzonspor players that made the team that is dominated by league leaders Istanbul Basaksehir with four players. Trabzonspor are second on the league.
