The Nigeria international has finally warmed his way into the hearts of fans after he struggled for playing time at the beginning of the season.

Onuachu was a second-half susbsitute for Ianis Hagi and made good use of his time on the pitch.
Onuachu equalised for Genk in the 75th minute, canceling out Jonas Osabutey’s opener for Mouscron.

The 25-year-old scored in the 75th and 82nd minutes to give Genk the three points.

“I do my best, I work for the team,” the tall striker told reporters after the match.

“I have to be patient, take my time. As a footballer, you naturally want to make people happy. I am here for the team and for the supporters.

“It was important to win our home match. In Denmark, I also scored quite a few winning goals.”
