Onuwa proud of MFM FC despite defeat to Enyimba

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club (MFM FC) midfielder, Chukwuma Onuwa says he is proud of his sides performance against Enyimba despite their 2-0 defeat in midweek.

The People’s Elephant beat the Olukoya Boys’ for the first time after five NPFL games inside the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar courtesy first half goals from Nelson Ogbonnaya and Chinonso Okonkwo.

Isiaka Oladuntoye was sent off for the home side but the seven-time NPFL champions held on for the win and Onuwa is already looking forward to Enyimba’s visit to Lagos in the second stanza of the league.

“Enyimba are a very good side and playing against them is not easy but we gave them a very good fight even though they eventually won,” Onuwa told SportingLife.ng

“It was the first time they beat us in the league and am not happy but we’ll make sure we beat them aswell when they visit Lagos.”

Enyimba moved into fifth after the win with 21points and have a game in hand while MFM FC sit 11th with 19points.
