Onyedika attracts interest after stellar UCL campaign
Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika has reportedly caught the attention of top European clubs following his standout performances in the Champions League this season.
The Belgian side were open to selling the Nigerian last summer but their €20 million price tag discouraged potential suitors at the time.
Galatasaray renewed their interest after the Belgian transfer deadline had passed, and according to Tomas Taecke, a journalist at Het Laatste Nieuws, Onyedika was close to sealing a move to Istanbul.
However, Club Brugge opted to retain the 22-year-old, believing his Champions League exposure could boost his market value and draw interest from clubs in Europe’s top five leagues.

That gamble appears to be paying off as Onyedika’s performances have earned widespread praise. Former Gent coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck called him “outstanding and great,” predicting his time at Brugge is nearing its end.
“They won’t be able to keep him after this season,” Vanhaezebrouck told Voetbalnieuws. “He was very strong, and all of Europe saw that.”
Tom Boudeweel of Sporza also noted how pleased Club Brugge is to still have Onyedika in their squad.
With his name now on multiple scouting lists, the initial €20 million valuation — which matches his current market price on Transfermarkt.com — is increasingly being seen as a potential bargain ahead of the summer transfer window.
