Onyekuru resumes training, eyes Eagles recall

Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru on Monday resumed full training with Belgian champions Anderlecht after a long-term injury.

The player who is on loan to Anderlecht from English side, Everton, posted a picture of him in training on his Twitter handle.

With his return, Onyekuru has promised to work hard to earn a call-up to the Nigeria squad for the FIFA 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Onyekuru who was not shortlisted for the 2018 Ebony Boot Award had scored 11 goals for the Belgium side before he was injured last December.

In 2017, he was voted the most promising player while in the colours of AS Eupen after scoring 12 times in 28 appearances.
