Onyemaechi clinches Greek Super League title with Olympiacos
Super Eagles left-back Bruno Onyemaechi has won his first major European silverware after helping Olympiacos secure the Greek Super League title.
Onyemaechi, who joined the Greek giants in January, featured for the entire 90 minutes in their 1-0 victory over AEK Athens during the Championship play-offs on Sunday — marking his sixth league appearance for the club.
Moroccan striker Ayoub El Kaabi scored the decisive goal in the 55th minute to hand Olympiacos their 48th league title, the most in Greek football history. The triumph is also the club’s first since the 2021/2022 season.
With three games left in the play-off round, Olympiacos have established an unassailable lead at the top of the table with 66 points.
