Oshoala seals permanent move to Barcelona Ladies until 2022

Super Falcons striker, Asisat Oshoala has reportedly signed a three-year deal with Spanish female side, Barcelona Ladies that she initially joined on loan.

She moved to Spain in January on a six-month loan deal from Chinese club Dalian Quanjian where she scored 23 goals in her first season.

With Barcelona, Oshoala has scored eight goals including the club’s solitary goal against Olympique Lyon in the final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League in Budapest this month which they lost 4-1.

Her move was announced on the club’s website on Friday while congratulating her.

“She arrived on 31 January and, in league, scored 7 goals scoring in 5 of the 7 game she played. Champions, first goal in the history ofBarça and Africa in a Final,” read the post.

Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.

Now with the Falcons on a two-week training camp in Austria, Oshoala will be one of the players expected to light up the FIFA Women’s World Cup which kicks off on June 7 in France.
