Osimhen can’t stop scoring, nets goal No 17

Super Eagles’ striker, Victor Osimhen was in superb form again yesterday as he scored his 17th goal of the season to help Sporting Charleroi secure a 3-0 away victory over KFCO Beerschot-Wilrijk at the Olympisch Stadium.
Belgian centre back, Dorian Dessoleil opened the floodgate of goals for the Zebras as early as the third minute through a well-placed header via a corner kick taken by Massimo Bruno.
Osimhen who has rediscovered his scoring boots after joining the Belgian side on loan Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in August 2018, grabbed the second goal in the 25th minute through a header.
However, the ex-Golden Eaglets’ forward missed an opportunity to score a brace in the 66th minute when he failed to convert from the spot after referee Nicolas Laforge awarded a penalty to Charleroi.
Malian forward, Adama Niane took the game beyond the reach of Beerschot-Wilrijk after his 89th minute goal ensured that the away side cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win.
Meanwhile, Osimhen says he’s delighted with reports linking him to a move to Italian Seria A giants AC Milan.
“I don’t want to force anything, but I would like to be clear before the end of the season” Osimhen said.
“Mehdi Bayat told me that there is a lot of interest and AC Milan’s interest flatters me”,
The forward who bagged hat trick in Dream Team VII second leg U-23 AFCON qualifier victory over Libya in Asaba added that he would sort out his future come end of the season.
