Osimhen rules out leaving Lille in January
Seeks to maintain scoring form
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has ruled out a possible move away from Lille when the European transfer window opens in January.
The Nigeria international, who has scored 13 goals for the French Ligue 1 side since joining from Belgian side Sporting Charleroi in August, has been attracting interest from top clubs in the Premier League including Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Chelsea.
In a chat with NationSport during the Celebrity match of the Asisat Oshoala Foundation Football4girls Clinic held at the Campos Mini Stadium yesterday, the 20-year-old said he was focused right now to continue with his scoring form for his team.
“It’s a legitimate one but for me I’m not distracted by all the transfers’ talks, I am really focused in doing what I love doing most.
“I am a Lille player and I am happy to be there. I will like to be there for a long time but you never know what the future holds and you never know what will happen tomorrow.
“It has not been easy. I am a Lille player and I must concentrate on doing well for them because I can only go to bigger clubs by doing well for my current club.
“To be wanted by all the big clubs shows that I am really working hard and doing well. But I don’t know what tomorrow brings. So I want to keep on working hard.

“I love it in Lille, I have settled there, the people are wonderful people and really nice to me and also the players. So for me I will just keep working hard and doing well and getting the goals for them and we will see what the future holds,” he told NationSport.
