Parker hails Fulham’s hero Lookman show against Sheffield United

Fulham manager Scott Parker is proud of hero Ademola Lookman and the entire team following their important win over Sheffield United on Saturday.

Ademola Lookman netted the decisive goal in the 61st minute as the Cottagers continue to battle against immediate relegation from the top flight division back to the Championship.

After back to back win over Everton and Sheffield United, Fulham moves to within three points of safety. Parker’s men now off 17th-placed Newcastle, who themselves face Manchester United today.

Speaking after the match, Parker said he’s proud of the effort of Lookman and everyone involved with the victory.

“Like all these games it took one moment to win the game and it came from Ademola and he found the net.

“I’m really proud of this team because it’s a huge moment. Not just this game but this week. It’s been massive. We all understand what we need to do. We need results more than performances, but I felt like we got both tonight.

On battle against relegation, Parker said: “That’s the aim. We’ve been in this position for a while now. We’re comfortable with where we are, we know the projections we’re on. Let’s try and rack up some wins and put pressure on the other teams. That’s the main focus.”
