Peter Olayinka scores as Slavia Prague hold Inter
Peter Olayinka scored for Slavia Prague as the Czech Champions settled for a 1-1 draw away to Inter Milan at San Siro in their first Group F match.
Olayinka was quickest to react after Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic had made a superb low stop to deny substitute Jaroslav Zeleny in the 63rd minute.
Inter’s Barella found the far corner in the 92nd minute, after Stefano Sensi’s free-kick had come back off the crossbar.
Olayinka became the first Nigerian to score on his Champions League debut since Yakubu’s hat-trick for Maccabi Haifa in 2002.
The Ibadan-born forward started his career in Ibadan before moving to Lagos-based 36 Lion FC football academy.
He joined Bylis Ballsh in the Albanian Superliga in 2012 the Northern Cypriot club Yenicami Ağdelen in 2013.
The 23 year-old had stints with Zulte Waregem, KAA Gent before joining Slavia Prague for 3.2m in 2018
