Pogba decision angers Man Utd amid Raiola frustrations

Manchester United and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer are growing increasingly frustrated with Paul Pogba’s antics.

The Frenchman is set to miss their New Year’s Day clash at Arsenal having also missed their win at Burnley several days ago.

Pogba is being integrated slowly as he recovers from injury, but decided to fly to France to watch his brothers Mathias and Florentin play in a charity match.

The rest of the United squad arrived at the Landmark Hotel in London on Tuesday, but their record signing was not present.

It heightens speculation that the 26-year-old is set for pastures new with the January transfer window now open.

United have insisted that their £89m star is not going to leave midseason, but that could yet change given his conduct.

Pogba has played just twice in recent months – both of those appearances coming from the bench – but his application during his rehab was criticised.

He was seen playing basketball with NBA star Jimmy Butler while he was supposed to be recovering from ankle surgery.

United boss Solskjaer is understood to be growing tired of his midfielder’s attitude, reports the Daily Mail , and their relationship has not been helped by comments made by his agent Mino Raiola.

He does not feel the Red Devils are capable of challenging for silverware – something that could seriously affect where his client plays his football.

He said: “Yes (he could be at United next season), but in a club that I hope fights for the league and hopefully the Champions League,’ said Raiola on Sky Sports.

“Is that strange? Am I the only one who’s worried? I think everybody that is in love with Manchester United is worried about it.

“I’m worried about that for my player. As long as Paul is at Manchester United, he wants to win trophies with Manchester United. Clearly they are not where they think they should be.”
