Pogba excited by Man Utd transfers of Sancho and Varane

Paul Pogba may delay making a decision on his Manchester United future until 2022.

The midfielder, 28, has been linked with a move away with Paris Saint-Germain one club said to be interested.

And speculation about Pogba joining the French giants only grew stronger after the news he rejected a new United contract last week.

But now a report from Eurosport hints at Pogba delaying any final decision over his future.

The Frenchman is said to be excited by the moves for Jadon Sancho, 21, and Raphel Varane, 28, with the latter edging closer to an Old Trafford switch after United and Real Madrid agreed a fee.

As such, a transfer to PSG may now seem less desirable for Pogba.

It is claimed his preferred destination is Real, but their current financial situation means they would first have to sell players to have a chance of signing Pogba.

So if neither club makes a move for the United star, he could keep his options open between now and the end of the season.

The Red Devils are still determined to renew his contract and will hope to have secured his future by the time the January transfer window rolls around.

If Pogba has not agreed new terms by then, foreign clubs will be able to approach the midfielder with a contract offer and United could end up losing him for nothing next summer.

That may make the club more inclined to push for a sale this summer.

Ed Woodward is believed to have a number of targets in mind should that happen.

Bayern Munich and Germany star Leon Goretzka is the latest name to be linked, but United are still reportedly keen on Eduardo Camavinga and Saul Niguez.
