Poland 2019: Chukwueze, Akujobi make Flying Eagles 31-Man list

Villarreal of Spain attacker, Samuel Chukwueze is among the eight foreign based players on the 31-Man provisional list compiled by Flying Eagles head coach, Paul Aigbogun for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup billed for Poland next month.

Also included are Hamdi Akujobi and Paul Bologna who both play their club football in Holland and Italy respectively. Aigbogun has surprisngly left out Norway based Afeez Aremu who was part of the team that placed fourth at the Africa U-20 Nations Cup in Niger in February .

They are expected to join the home based players in Germany for the final phase of preparations before flying out to Poland billed for 23rd May – 15th June.

The team will arrive Germany on Sunday morning and will spend three weeks perfecting tactical and technical strategies .

Team Administrator, Aliyu Ibrahim Lawal disclosed to thenff.com that 23 players were billed to fly out of Abuja aboard a Lufthansa Airline flight on Saturday night.

Nigeria has been drawn in the same pool alongside Qatar, USA and Ukraine at the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup finals, after the seven –time African champions finished fourth at the Africa U20 Cup of Nations finals in Niger Republic in February, to pick Africa’s last slot in Poland.
