Power Rankings: Nigeria ranked 8th ahead FIBA World Cup
D’Tigers of Nigeria is rated eight according to power ranking released Wednesday ahead of the FIBA World Cup in China from August 31- September 15.
The United States of America is ranked number one, Serbia is second, Greece is third, Spain is fourth, France is fifth, Australia is sixth, Argentina is seventh, Nigeria is eight, Lithuania is ninth, while Turkey is 10th
In the 11th position is Italy, Germany is 12th, Brazil is 13th, Poland is 14th, China is 15th, Puerto Rico is 16th, Canada is 17th, Russia is 18th, the Philippines is 19th, Montenegro is 20th, the Czechs Republic is 21st, Japan is 22nd, Iran is 23rd, Tunisia is 24th, New Zealand is 25th, Senegal is 26th, Venezuela is 27th, the Dominican Republic is 28th, Angola is 29th, Korea is 30th, Cote D’Ivoire is 31st, while Jordan 32nd.
In preparing the ranking, the results of the team’s friendly games were considered, while also looking at how the games would play out in China.
