Premier League: Eagles poster boy starts from the bench in club’s stunning win
Super Eagles poster boy Alex Iwobi was thrown into the fray in second half during Everton 2-1 over Southampton in a Premier League clash on Saturday, November 9, at Saint Mary.
Iwobi, who was introduced in the 74th minute with the contest tied 1-1, following goals from Tom Davies (4′) and the leveler from Danny Ings (50′).
A double substitution by Everton manager Marco Silva saw the Nigerian i8nternational and Dominic Calvert-Lewin played their part in the win.
Within seconds of their introduction Eve regained their introduction Everton restored their lead through Richarlison.

Iwobi has his chances to be among the goals but his strike was blocked and another effort was punched away by the goalkeeper to deny the former Arsenal winger a goal on the night.
The result on the night saw Everton move up to 13th spot on the Premier League log and four points adrift of fifth placed Arsenal.
